My name is Nijah Adams-Ikewun, The Fundraising Manager for Human Connection Revolution. I am no stranger to nonprofit fundraising or the nonprofit sector. I have been doing fundraising since I was 14 for various nonprofits over the years.  I enjoy being able to connect the mission of nonprofits that truly help our community with those of the community. I have presented research on Leadership Styles and Opportunities for Professional Growth which had a poster accepted for presentation at the 2016 Annual Convention of the Southwestern Psychological Association in Dallas, Texas. I am a qualified Industrial-Organizational Psychologist and holds two bachelor’s degrees from Texas Tech University in Psychology and Business Administration. I also have a master’s Degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Angelo State University.

I want to give back to my community in the biggest impact possible.  I think fundraising allows the magic within a nonprofit to flourish. I chose to become a part of the Human Connection Revolution because I want to help the most amount of people in the most impactful way. For me its about making sure that everything that happens sets someone up for success in their lives, spiritually, financially, mentally and physically. HCR can help the induvial with their specific needs in a one on one basis that is not common with the population of homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics and more in Houston currently.

I am always looking to help people in the best possible way to help them heal from the inside out. The Human Connection Revolution speaks to me because HCR treats every person holistically. Human Connection Revolution is REVOLUTIONIZING lives with holistic approaches for true rehabilitation.  No cover-ups or hand-outs, our Participants work, earn and learn self-dignity, overcoming life’s challenges instead of collapsing into depression and instability.

Thank you for being a part of the Revolution,

Nijah Adams-Ikewun
